It’s the year of Måns Zelmerlöw: The 29 years old Swede did not only win Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest in spring, he was now even voted the best male Swedish artist and best male Swedish live act of the yeear. His Eurovision entry “Heroes” also received the award as the Swedish song of the year. On the female side, Zara Larsson who currently is topping the Swedish charts with “Lush Life” won the prices. Tove Lo was awarded the Rockbjörn as breakthrough of the year, while The Fooo Conspiracy got the price as best Swedish band and for the concert of the year. Even the guys from Europe got an award – as the best live act Metal/Hardrock.
Rockbjörnen is a music price from the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet which has been awarded since 1979. It’s devided into several categories and the winners are elected by the readers of the newspaper.
