TV4's schlager meets rap show Lyckliga Gatan may still not be very satisfying. Still this doesn't stop the programme to produce hits. The proof comes from the latest Sverigetopplistan where Allyawan feat. Näääk with their cover of „Jag Hade En Gång En Båt“ make it to the number 2 spot after just two weeks. Originally, the song was published by Cornelis Vreeswijk as early as 1966. Singing it together with Ann-Louise Hanson brought him a hit which stayed 15 weeks on Svensktoppen. Even other artists created their own versions of this song. But since 1967 no-one pushed it that far up on the charts as Allyawan feat. Näääk did. For us this song is a clear heavy-rotation-candidate.The ratings of
Samir & Viktor to directly to the final in Stockholm with their "Success"-copy "Groupie". Instead Mariette ("Don't Stop Believing") and Magnus Carlsson ("Möt mig i Gamla stan") qualified for the Melodifestivalen final in Stockholm on March 14th. Especially Mariette seems to have good chances to win this year's Melodifestivalen. Samir & Viktor as well as last years newcomer Linus Svenning will have to fight in Andra Chansen to compete in the final as well. Out of the game for this year are Neverstore (”If I Was God For One Day”), Emelie Irewald (”Där och då med dig”), Marie Bergman & Sanne Salomonsen ("Nonetheless”). We have added all song to our playlist except of the finalists which we are not allowed to do before Andra Chansen.Melodifestivalen is still full of surprises: All journalists and experts had predicted
Melodifestivalen 2015: Jessica Andersson And Eric Saade To Final - Five New Songs To Swedish Hit Radio
is back and the best known artists made it from the first heat in Gothenburg to the final: MelodifestivalenJessica Andersson with her ballad "Can't Hurt Me Now" and Eric Saade with his up-tempo pop song "Sting". Unfortunately, those songs are now blocked and may not be played on the radio, but all the other five songs may - even the two songs that qualified for the second chance (Andra chansen). So we have added both Dolly Style with ”Hello Hi” and Behrang Miri feat. Victor Crone with ”Det rår vi inte för” (the Andra chansen contestents) to our playlist as well as the unlucky three: Elize Ryd & Rickard Söderberg (”One By One”), Molly Pettersson Hammar (”I’ll Be Fine”) and Daniel Gildenlöw (”Pappa”).

Zara Larsson is back with another single taken from her last cd "1" which made it to the top of the Swedish album charts last autum. After "Carry You Home" and "Rooftop" it is now time for "Weak Heart" to be released separately. After one week in the charts "Weak Heart" is placing on spot 53 in the single charts. Considering the success of the last two singles it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see "Weak Heart" rise higher soon - last not least as it fits well in a lot of radio stations. Last not least Swedish Hit Radio. That's why we added the song as in heavy rotation to our playlist.
Swedish Hit Radio started broadcasting. After one year, our station has found many friends and fans around the world, most of them in Sweden of course. We are really happy about this success especially because we don't have much money to do marketing. We want to celebrate this first year of Swedish Hit Radio with a Number-1-Weekend. This weekend starting on Friday, January 27th at 5 pm we only play songs which topped the Swedish single charts. Unnecessary to mention that this only includes all Number-1-Songs which are sung by Swedish artists. We are looking forward to celebrate this special weekend with you and hope you stay with us even in our second year on air!On February 1st, 2014
Lyckliga Gatan is a new TV programme on Swedish TV4 that obviously tries to extend the success of the popular show Så mycket bättre and to make the idea behind it more attractive for younger audiences. In every episode two artists from different music genres meet and create ny versions of more or less known songs. Half of the artists are rappers, the others usually do pop or schlager. The premier on January 7th had 517.000 viewers at 21:00 hours, the second episode only half as many (272.000). Still, two songs of the show could already enter the Swedish single charts Sverigetopplistan: the host Matar "Näääk" Samba with "Lyckliga Gatan" (place 63) and the rapper from the first episode Gee Dixon feat. Stor with his cover of Arja Saijonmaas "Jag vill tacka livet" (place 78).

Melodifestivalen 2015 only three weeks away Swedish television svt has announced the running order for the four semi finals. The very first artist to enter the stage will be Molly Pettersson Hammar on February 7th in Gothenburg. Considering the success of single spots in the running order, the last artist of the same night will probably fight for the victory even in the final. Producer Christer Björkman (photo) has placed Eric Saade on that spot. Even more successful over the last years was the very artist in the fourth semi final. This year we'll see Måns Zelmerlöw there. So, will it be a fight only between those two for the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May 2015? Probably not as there are a lot of promising acts amongst the 28 entries and last year Ace Wilder almost won Melodifestivalen coming basically from nowhere. The race is open, we'll keep you informed and will have some Mello weekends on Swedish Hit Radio during the six festival weeks. With
